When you purchase a new home you want to think that you have bought a peace of mind that the home is well sealed from the environment, be it weather or critters. Unfortunately that is usually not the case. Most new homes, along with older ones, have many construction gaps that are still allowed to pass building code inspection. There are many places where these gaps can be but the most common that almost all homes have is the construction gap where the plywood on the roof should meet the fascia board that your gutters are mounted on. We say "should meet" because about 9 out of 10 houses have a 2"-6" gap at this particular point. A common misconception is that this gap is left to let the attic vent, however that is far from the truth. This gap actually interferes with the way your attic was designed to breath. Most homes have a soffit vent and upper attic vents. The air should flow between those but with this gap most of the air stays in a circular motion between the soffit vent and the construction gap instead of circulating the air through the entire attic. Because of this, your home is much less efficient than it was meant to be when it comes to keeping a consistent temperature. Critter Patrol's exclusion material not only stops the critters from entering but also creates an air tight barrier in the areas not meant to vent. So don't be fooled by the other companies that want to charge you a fortune to staple some cheap wire mesh over the holes in your home. In the areas that critters enter that do need to vent, we have heavy duty screen we can use to cover them that will allow no re-entry. Where our work stands apart from the competition is once it is completed it will not be visible and will be covered by your shingles. All of Critter Patrols exclusion barriers will withstand any critter and will be very well disguised to keep your home looking as it should, opposed to looking like some sort of a cage. Our exclusion barriers are all covered under the Critter Patrol LIFETIME WARRANTY.
